INTERNATIONAL REAL ESTATE

What does "Real estate with citizenship" mean?

This is one of the forms of Citizenship by Investment, where purchasing a property that meets the minimum value required by the government is a condition for the investor (and their family) to be directly granted citizenship of that country without the requirement of actual residency.

This is the fastest path to obtaining a second citizenship through real estate. In return, the investment level and accompanying conditions (holding period, government fees, etc.) also have specific characteristics that you need to clearly understand before making a decision.

Why are Vietnamese investors interested in this form?

There are three main reasons why this demand is increasing strongly:

  • Speed: These programs grant lifetime passports within 12 months — suitable for investors needing quick solutions for travel, international business, or opening overseas bank accounts.

  • Global freedom of movement: A second passport from these programs often provides visa-free access to over 100 countries — much more convenient than a Vietnamese passport for business trips or travel.

  • No requirement for actual residence: Unlike many other immigration categories, most of these programs do not require investors to move and live in the host country to maintain citizenship — suitable for those who still want to maintain their life and work in Vietnam.

Countries currently offering this program.

The group of direct citizenship by investment programs includes Turkey, New Zealand, and the group of 5 Caribbean islands.
