The White Paper confirms the right to reside in Greece while the application is pending, but it is not always usable as a document for entering or exiting through other Schengen border crossings. During this stage, the family should continue traveling according to the visa they originally used to enter the country.
The right to travel freely within the Schengen Area without needing a separate visa only fully applies once the physical permanent residence (PR) card has been issued — at that point the family can travel in and out of the 29 Schengen countries for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without an additional visa.
This isn't meant to complicate things — it's meant to help clients understand the timeline correctly and avoid being misled by "overpromising" marketing claims. When it comes to residency-by-investment, transparency always matters more than speed.
